Good Grace – Mother’s Day

Being a mom is hard work, especially during this season of distancing. Today we explore grace through the eyes of a mother with a Mother’s Day panel. These ladies share their experiences as a moms and follower of Jesus. Our hope is that the mom’s who listen will find encouragement and hope and discover that you are not alone in your struggles. We also hope this will encourage you to take time to love and appreciate the moms and women in your life.

  1. Read Proverbs 31:10-31 What do you think the purpose of this passage is?
  2. What are some of the habits of a godly woman?
  3. Is this too lofty a standard to aim for? Why or why not?
  4. What qualities of your mom or wife (or you) seem to align with those habits? How did they/you grow to be that way?
  5. How should women respond where they don’t feel that they are living up who they could be? In other words, where does God’s grace (power and love to change us and empower us to live) come in here?

  6. What are the best ways to show your mom/wife/yourself that she/you are loved and appreciated. It might seem weird to ask this of yourself, but we are often hardest on ourselves and need reminders that we are loved and appreciated by God and others as a mom/woman.
